Benjamin Henrion, well known to many people here as the most evil of the geniuses behind the <NO>OOXML campaign, and its main sponsor (he paid 12 Euro for the domain name), estimates that there will be 12 NO votes and six abstentions, counting all the votes known and predicted. Thus Microsoft will need to stuff the JCT1 P-Membership to 42 members in order to get OOXML squeezed through (with plenty of water-based lubricant) as a so-called international standard. (SCIS for short.) Benjamin, incidentally, and for the benefit of the Vendor hit squads who are surely roaming the streets with pistols cocked, is enjoying a holiday in southern Bulgaria.
From the whole <NO>OOXML team to everyone who signed the petition, helped us translate it, submitted news, but above all, who made the effort to submit comments and go to those warzones-called-technical-committee-meetings, thanks. You have helped make the world a better place and proven that the little people can make a difference.
No to OOXML.
