One Microsoft puppet missing in the United States

CNN is reporting in an article that Microsoft failed to reach a "Yes with comments" on the vote on OOXML in the Technical Committee in the United States.

The article mentions the Microsoft puppets invading the committee, and the failure for Microsoft to get an approval by one puppet:

Despite a number of Microsoft partners joining the committee in recent weeks, the committee did not approve recommending Open XML as an ISO standard, Weir said. He said that it failed to pass an "approval" vote by one committee member.

Doug Mahugh, leader of the Microsoft OOXML church, is also pointing out on his blog about those anti-OpenXML lobbyists that are obstructing the process:

Many of these members didn't support "Disapprove with comments" because they believed it would allow anti-Open XML lobbyists on V1 to obstruct the process in the future. (Personally, I fall into this camp.)

Maybe he is falling in the pro-camp because he is paid to be there?

Microsoft also mentions that they will continue to lobby ANSI as hard as they can:

Microsoft's general manager of interoperability and standards, Tom Robertson, said Microsoft will continue to work with ANSI on developing its position.
"In addition to receiving rapid uptake among users and across the IT industry, a clear majority of the participants in the V1 (committee) process voted to recommend ISO ratification of Ecma Open XML, recognizing that this is the path to take to enable choice," Robertson said in a statement.

One puppet missing, Microsoft is so pissed that they will spend an enormous amount of energy to get ANSI on their side.

Maybe US anti OOXML lobbyists needs to really wake up?
